Advocacy and Sensitization

KSMH is very active in the area of advocacy and sensitization of the various sectors of Kenyan society to bring to light the plight of the mentally disabled and their challenges. Only by such education can the high level of stigma associated with mental disability be reduced. The sensitization will also enable the various sectors to understand mental disabilities better and will create pressure for better policies and laws for the mentally disabled. The advocacy and sensitization is done at many levels and in many forms. The following pictures illustrate the scope of KSMH’s work in this field.
