Kenya Society for the Mentally handicapped

1. Provide mobility aid of a child with severe/profound mental disabilities with a wheelchair worth KShs. 10,000/- (US$ 150).
2. Provide legal aid to violated children with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers with a fee of KShs. 10,000/- (US$ 150).
   
   
3. Sponsor a pupil with severe/profound intellectual disabilities to a boarding school with an annual budget of KShs. 20,000/- (US$ 280).
   
   
4. Support education needs of a child with intellectual disabilities in uniform feeding programme, learning and teaching materials, personnel support services etc. with an annual budget of KShs. 15,000/- (US$ 210).
   
   
5. Donate KShs 1000/- (US$ 15) per month worth of nutritional/special food for a needy malnourished child or severe/profound adult with mental disabilities.
   
   
6. Donate therapeutic medicines i.e. anti epilepsy, anti depressants etc. to needy children with intellectual disabilities unable to service their prescriptions.
   
   
7. Donate a disability friendly classroom and sanitation to enable children with metal disability access free primary education with a budget of KShs. 500,000/- (US$ 7000).
   
   
8. Provide early identification and effective management of mental disability through multi-disciplinary support services with a unit cost of KShs. 15,000/- (US$ 210).
   
   
9. Give voluntary services if you are a lawyer, occupational therapist, counsellor, special teacher, social worker, medical doctor, or specialist in any field of mental disability. Please contact us for more information.
   
   
10. Partner with us in our programmes development in aid of children and adults with mental disabilities & their caregivers if you are a donor agency.
    
    
11. Support rescue, home-based monitoring, and basic support programme of hidden, abused, neglected and abandoned children with KShs. 10,000/- (US$ 150).
    
    
12. Donate centres for providing multi-disciplinary services to rural areas in the provinces and districts.
    
    
13. If you area lawyer, occupational therapist, counselor, special teacher, social worker etc, please contact us for any voluntary services during your free time.
    
    
14. Sponsor a community based vocational training and income-generating project for groups of adults with mental disabilities and parents with an activity budget of KShs.
